About Us

Laughter, learning and fun are important elements in a child’s world.

A Lil' History Lesson

At Lil’ Cubs, we believe these are extremely important factors of a quality early learning education program.  We believe that while the children are laughing and having fun, they are also learning by enhancing their physical, social, emotional and growing their communication and intellectual skills.

Lil’ Cubs will provide each child with a nurturing, safe environment filled with warmth and praise.  Children’s talents will be encouraged to flourish and grow while they are having fun.  Lil’ Cubs believes that through play, children can learn about themselves and the world around them.

Get to know Ms. Amy

Ms. Amy first opened Lil' Cubs Preschool in 2006.  At this time, there were 12 children enrolled for half day preschool.  By the next year the preschool housed 25 children and continued to grow. Lil' Cubs is now licensed for 203 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

The center provides individual classrooms for each age group.  Infants, 1 year olds, 2 year olds, 3 year olds, 4 year olds and school-age children.

Ms. Amy has made it her life's mission to work with children. She has inspired many and has become a great role model for not only the children in her child care center, but the Nevada community as a whole.

Staff Qualifications

Please note that our floaters (extra staff) will alternate rooms as our number of children in each classroom changes from day to day. We do this not only in compliance with the State of Iowa requirements, but the happiness and attention that all of our Lil' Cubs deserve and need!
